Mom of the Month – Jona Chisholm

Jona Chisholm and her family

How did you come to be involved with KidStuff?

I started shopping KidStuff eight years ago when I had my first son, but I didn’t start selling or working with KidStuff until the pandemic in 2020.  I first started selling in the virtual sales (I was a little too scared to do the live sales at first) and once I realized how easy it all was, I jumped right on in to the live sales.

What do you like about participating in KidStuff Sales?

I love selling because I am able to declutter my house while making some extra cash for my family.  I absolutely LOVE working the sales because of the relationships that I have formed with so many of the amazing workers that we have.

What are your favorite things to look for at KidStuff Sales even if you don’t really need them?

I always ask my boys what one thing is that they want me to get them from the sale (which is usually a toy–lol) and that is what I search for – I am usually able to find something that they asked for!

Tell us about your family!

My hubbie, Josh, and I have been married for 10 years.  We have two amazing boys, Jackson, almost eight, and Logan, four. Josh and I met in high school; we went on our first date almost 20 years ago!

What 3 words describe your family life?

BUSY BUSY BUSY – so many activities so we are always running!  I wouldn’t have it any other way, though!

What is the best trip your family has ever taken? What made it special?

We just got back from our first trip to Disney, and we had so much fun.  My youngest is currently OBSESSED with princesses and he was so in love with seeing all of them and eating in the castle!

What’s been your best find/steal at KidStuff Sale?

My youngest wanted a princess castle for Christmas last year.  I walked into our holiday sale and found his castle (it was taller than me) for only $40!  I was so excited to save money, and I knew he was going to be one happy boy on Christmas morning!

What have you learned to let go of since becoming a mom?

My house will not be clean all the time and that is OK.

What tips would you give to moms who have never shopped at KidStuff Sale?

Bring a wagon!  When I first started shopping, no one told me thisI would come and have to try and carry all of the goodies that I would find, which makes shopping so much harder!  Bring the wagon!

What tips would you give to moms who have never consigned at KidStuff Sale?

Just do it!  It can be overwhelming to think about selling for the first time, but if you jump in, you will find that it is actually easier than you think it is…. And we have so many people willing to help you out and answer questions that you might have!
